    We model 12 months of wind and irradiance for your exact coordinates, then tell you honestly whether wind belongs on your site. Free, and roughly 4 in 10 sites get a 'solar-only' answer.

  2. Step 02

    Engineered proposal

    A single design covering array, battery, optional turbine, mast foundation and interconnection — with a modelled bill before and after, at today's $0.28/kWh.

  3. Step 03

    Permit & install

    Our crews handle municipal permits and the utility interconnection. Typical install runs 3–5 days for solar+battery, plus 2 days when a turbine is included.

  4. Step 04

    Monitor & maintain

    Live production monitoring, an annual turbine inspection and a pre-season storm check before every hurricane season — included for the life of the plan.

Straight answers first.

Is wind actually viable in Puerto Rico, or is solar always better?

Both, honestly. Solar is the cheaper first kilowatt-hour almost everywhere on the island, which is why every Aerowave system leads with solar and battery. Wind earns its place on coastal, ridge and open-valley sites with consistent trade winds — roughly 6 in 10 of the properties we assess. If your site doesn't clear our wind threshold, we will tell you and quote solar-only.

What does a system cost?

A typical residential or small-commercial Aerowave system — equipment plus installation — lands around $30,000, offered as a flat $3,000 per month over a 12-month plan with no balloon payment. Against a $0.28/kWh grid rate, most of our modelled sites offset a large share of that monthly figure from day one.

What happens in a hurricane?

Turbines are specified for the island's wind loading and stow automatically above roughly 110 mph, with a manual lock-down procedure documented for your crew. Masts are engineered with site-specific foundations. Before every season we run a free pre-storm inspection on every system we've installed.

Will this keep my power on when the grid goes down?

Yes, within the limits of your battery and your critical-load panel. We size storage around what you actually need to keep running — refrigeration, water pump, internet, medical equipment, point-of-sale — rather than your whole house. Solar recharges by day; where wind is installed, it recharges overnight too.

How is this different from a regular solar installer?

Solar-only installers stop at the roof, so your production stops with the sun and long rainy stretches eat your battery. Utility wind projects like Punta Lima are grid-scale and not available to an individual property. Aerowave sits in the gap: property-scale hybrid generation, one design, one contract, one warranty.

Do I need to own my roof and land?

You need to own or have long-term rights to the property. Roof-mounted solar needs a structurally sound roof, and a turbine needs a setback from property lines that varies by municipality — we check both during the free site assessment before anything is quoted.
